Animal Abuse

Animal abuse on Lounges encompasses content that depicts the intentional infliction of severe physical or psychological harm, leading to an animal's suffering.

However, certain exceptions may apply for content that features widely accepted practices like hunting, trapping, pest abatement, food preparation, medical treatment, or animal slaughter, as long as it displays harm to animals or a group of animals.

Here are additional examples of content that is not permitted on Lounges:

  • Dog fighting, cockfighting, or any forced animal fighting where humans coerce animals to attack each other. However, we do allow content depicting animals fighting in their natural habitat, such as in a nature documentary.
  • Content showing animal suffering, neglect, or mistreatment solely intended to shock viewers or glorify the abuse, without providing adequate educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic context.
  • Bullfighting featuring bulls being harmed, such as the use of swords against the bull.
  • Hunting utilising non-standard practices, such as the use of bombs or poison.
  • Staged animal rescues where animals are intentionally harmed or placed in dangerous scenarios for dramatic effect.

Please be aware that the above list is not exhaustive, and it is crucial to avoid posting any content that you suspect might violate this policy.
