What this policy means for content creators
Explicit content that breaches this policy may lead to age restriction, content removal, or a strike. We take into consideration various factors when determining whether to age-restrict, remove content, or issue a strike:
- Use of sexually explicit language or narratives.
- Excessive profanity in the content.
- Heavy profanity or sexually suggestive terms in the title, thumbnail, or associated metadata.
- Please note that the above list is not exhaustive.
Age-restricted content examples
Here are some instances where content may be age-restricted:
- A video primarily focused on the use of profanities, such as compilations, songs, or clips taken out of context
- A video with a title that extensively uses profanities
- A video that frequently utilises vulgar or sexual language
This policy applies to videos, video descriptions, comments, live streams, audio, and all other Lounges products or features. Remember, these examples are not all-encompassing, so refrain from posting content that you suspect might violate this policy.
We may allow the use of vulgar language when the primary purpose is educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic, and it serves a purpose beyond being gratuitous. For instance, a song title with a curse word or a song containing significant profanity may be permitted. To help us and your viewers understand the video's primary purpose, provide context in the content, title, and description.
Consequences of violating this policy
If your content violates this policy, we will remove it and notify you via email. Additionally, if we cannot verify that a link you posted is safe, we may remove the link.
For first-time violations of our Community Guidelines, you will likely receive a warning with no penalty to your channel. Subsequent violations may result in a strike being issued against your channel. Accumulating three strikes within 90 days will lead to the termination of your account. Please familiarise yourself with our strikes system here.
Repeated violations of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service may lead to the termination of your account. We may also terminate your account immediately for severe abuse or when the account consistently violates our policies.
